Monday November 11, 2024 9:00am - 10:15am EST
This introduction to four crucial intentions of a complementary curriculum approach will ground educator work in important early childhood legacies and new ways of thinking about them. Participants will reflect, with prompts and provocations, on their beliefs about how children learn and be introduced to four intentional teaching strategies that inspire new ways of working with young children to support self-regulation, independence, collaboration, and joy. Together we will learn about the importance of designing compelling experiences, modeling for discovery, scaffolding learning, and what it means to follow children's interests.
