How can puppetry give new life to ancient stories? In this hands-on masterclass, participants will learn about a style of puppetry called Bunraku – in which puppets are brought to life by a team of three puppeteers. After exploring the basics of puppeteering, participants will work as an ensemble to activate ancient Jewish stories using artistic creation and tabletop theater. We will also explore how to use these techniques in the early childhood classroom in a variety of applications.
